To create this slideshow I began with writing down all of the elements and principles with their definitions next to it. I then thought of pictures that would correspond with each photo and wrote down what I wanted a picture of. For balance, I used a picture of a sunset because my picture has different textures and colors with other forms and shapes to create the picture. For color I used a painting on my wall of an elephant head with many different colors in it and lines that make up the elephant head. For contrast, I used a pond picture because the different use of elements draws the viewers attention in. For emphasis I used a picture of a Ferrari because the attention is drawn to the red car. For my forms photo, I used a picture I took over the weekend of a building in Toronto because it is a 3D shape with a length, width, and height. For line, I used a picture of a boardwalk because it leads your eye from one one area to another. For movement, I used creek water because it allows the audience's eyes to move upstream. For pattern, I used a picture of a cubby I have that has a black and white pattern on it because it has a repetition of shapes and lines. For proportion I used an elephant decor I have to show the difference between the smaller ones and the biggest one. For shapes I used my makeup organizer because there are a bunch of rectangles and squares the create a bigger rectangle. For space I used two elephant decors to show the distance between the two on my dresser. For texture, I used an "H" sign because it has a feeling on it that you can see through the picture. For unity I used a picture of a fish my boyfriend caught because it is against water which has texture, there are different colors and patterns in the fish, and it all comes together in a pleasing photo. My last photo is a picture of a lake for Value. I used this because there is a degree of light and dark within the picture and you can see which parts are lighter or darker within the grey scale.
After deciding my photos, I created my PhotoBucket account and made an album containing all of these photos. The link is below.
